LIHEAP Spring Subsidy Program starts on May 3rd and will run until June 30th or until all funds are expended.  This is a one-time benefit.  Benefit amounts are determined based on housing status, income and household size.   

Household income must be at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. For the Crisis Component of LIHEAP, residents must be income eligible and be in an energy crisis.

Failure to submit all required documentation will delay your assistance. We require below documents:

  • Proof of all household member's income from previous month (Social Security, SSI, Railroad Retirement, VA Pension can ONLY be verified from Award/ Benefit Letter issued by Social Security Administration)
  • ID of applicant
  • Current electric bill
  • Current bill or invoice with account number for bulk fuel (Propane/ fuel oil, Wood)
  • Social Security Cards for Everyone in the home
